File Preperation
- Choose the right file format: The most common file formats for printing are PDF, JPEG, and TIFF. Make sure to use the appropriate format for your project.
- Set the resolution: The resolution of your image should be at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) for high-quality printing. Lower resolution images may appear pixelated or blurry when printed.
- Choose the correct color mode: For most printing projects, you should use the CMYK color mode. RGB color mode is typically used for digital displays and may not translate well to print.
- Check for bleed and margins: Make sure your document has a bleed area if the image or text goes to the edge of the page. Also, ensure that there is enough margin space around the edges of the document to allow for cutting and binding.
- Check for typography errors: Before sending your file to the printer, double-check that all text is legible and that there are no typography errors.
- Save a backup copy: Before sending your file to the us, save a backup copy in case any changes need to be made or the file becomes corrupted.
- Submit the file: Once you have completed all of the above steps, submit your file to JC Print. Make sure to include any specific instructions or requests for your project.
